TradeNet needed a highly flexible marketplace platform that could be adapted for different industry verticals, each with unique requirements. Our Solution
How we addressed the challenges and delivered an effective solution for TradeNet.
Solution Approach
We built a comprehensive marketplace platform using React for the frontend with Node.js and MongoDB for the backend. The search functionality was powered by Elasticsearch, enabling complex filtering and faceted navigation with instant results. We implemented a microservices architecture for scalability, with separate services handling user management, product listings, search, transactions, and messaging. The platform features a sophisticated seller verification system with multiple levels of validation, along with a comprehensive review and reputation system. The payment processing includes multiple options through Stripe Connect, with escrow capabilities for high-value transactions. Real-time features like inventory updates and messaging were implemented using Socket.io and Redis. The entire solution was deployed on AWS with auto-scaling capabilities to handle traffic spikes.
